Ingredients
2 to 3
large chicken breasts
1
small onion, quartered
1
lemon, quartered
¼
tsp
garlic powder
¼
tsp
onion powder
⅛
tsp
pepper
1¼
cup
barbeque sauce (I used Sweet Baby Ray's brand), plus more for topping
1½
cups
Coke, or any other brand of cola soda
rolls or buns (I used steak rolls) for sandwiches or baked potatoes and other toppings as desired
Instructions
Spray the slow cooker with nonstick spray (you may consider using a liner for easier cleanup too).
Put all of the ingredients, except the rolls/buns, in the slow cooker.
Secure the lid on and cook on low for 7 to 8 hours.
Remove the onion and lemon, and shred the chicken. Stir the chicken and remaining sauce to fully coat the chicken.
Serve the chicken on sliced rolls or buns or on baked potatoes with additional barbeque sauce and any other toppings as desired.
