Ingredients
¾cuplong grain white rice
1½cupswater
1tbspbutter
18 oz cantomato sauce
¼tspsalt
½tsponion powder
¼tspgarlic powder
Instructions
Add all of the ingredients to a medium saucepan and bring to a boil.
Cover and turn the heat down to low (or medium-low) so it is at a simmer.
Allow to simmer for 15 to 20 minutes, or until all the liquid is absorbed and the rice is tender. Stir a few times during the last 5 minutes or so. (Add a little more liquid if needed if all liquid is absorbed before the rice is tender.)
Stir and do a quick taste test and add any additional salt, etc. if needed.
Serve and enjoy!
Notes
If doubling, just double all ingredients. A 15 oz can of tomato sauce can be used instead of two 8 oz cans of tomato sauce - it honestly tastes the same.
