Honey Butter… Inspired by Texas Roadhouse

Upon hearing the words “honey butter,” I know many people immediately think of the Texas Roadhouse restaurant with their signature rectangular rolls with honey butter on the side.  I know I definitely do!  If you have never had their bread and butter, it is delicious! While this recipe could be considered a copycat recipe, I should say that this recipe is more about capturing the flavor and experience of honey butter rather than being exactly like the honey butter from the restaurant.  The biggest difference for me is that Texas Roadhouse has a whipped butter consistency, while mine is more of a smooth, soft spread.

There are many versions of honey butter out there. So what makes my recipe unique?  Mainly, my ratios of powdered sugar and honey to the actual butter are different.  Many recipes have equal parts powdered sugar, honey, and butter, which I feel results in something more frosting-like with the sweetness level.

The best part about this recipe, though, is that it only uses four pantry ingredients, so you can make this scrumptious butter any time! This honey butter has just the right amount of sweetness with the buttery flavor you would expect, all along with a hint of cinnamon.

My recipe for honey butter is ridiculously easy to make and even easier to enjoy!  I like to pair this delectable spread with homemade rolls or French bread, but even store-bought rolls are great!  (I recommend Rhodes frozen rolls as a store-bought option.) It is also delicious on banana bread, homemade pretzels, or even sopaipillas!

Enjoy!
